Code of Conduct
Code of Conduct for Participants
We are welcoming, open to all, advocates of fun and fair play, and unified by a love of games and competition. We are respectful to others. We treat each other as we wish to be treated. We know competing passions can flare, but that does not justify treating others poorly.
Our Code of Conduct makes us all responsible for upholding these traits, therefore, I commit to the following:
- I am aware that I am an ambassador for esports and I take full responsibility for my actions. I have read this code of conduct (if under 18 read with parent/s/carer) and agree to abide by the points listed below.
- I will treat others with the respect and fairness that I would like them to show me, this includes my interactions in the real and virtual world with participants, officials, staff, volunteers, organisers and spectators.
- I will uphold competitive integrity and the spirit of fair play. I will follow both the letter and the spirit of the rules at all times. I understand that the rules exist to preserve competition integrity and enjoyable tournaments. I will compete within the rules of The Game Safe Cup and respect all officials and their decisions
- I will demonstrate fair play on and off the esports arena and will not use foul, abusive or offensive language in the real or a virtual environment.
- I will never engage in threatening behaviour, discrimination, or harassment. I understand that conduct of this nature will be reported and acted upon. I will respect the differences between everyone at the Game Safe Cup in terms of age, gender (including transgender), ethnicity, religious beliefs, sexual orientation or disability.
- Whilst participating in the tournament, I will not post or share content on social media or websites, images or text that is harmful, unkind, abusive or shows the Game Safe Cup in a negative light.
At the live finals:
- I will visibly wear my accreditation for the duration of the 2024 Game Safe Cup finals and present it when requested by any member of the event organising team.
- I will dress appropriately for all in person or streamed online activities and respect any challenge from the organisers to adapt my clothing should it be deemed inappropriate.
- I will promote myself, esports and the NSPCC in a positive light throughout the tournament game play by not smoking (cigarettes or e-cigarettes), possessing, consuming or supplying alcohol, illegal and/or performance enhancing drugs.
I understand that any breach of this code of conduct could result in my disqualification and any appropriate subsequent investigation
